​Laura Davis is a Liverpool-based freelance journalist and audience development specialist. As a journalist, she predominantly writes about arts and heritage subjects for a range of publishers including the BBC, The Stage, The Lead and her own North West arts and culture newsletter Stored Honey. She was previously Arts Editor on both the Liverpool Daily Post and Liverpool Echo.​​

Her consultancy work involves helping organisations better understand and connect with their audiences including:

• Developing newsletter strategies with clients, helping them increase their subscriber numbers, improve open rates, run re-engagement campaigns and comply with GDPR best practice.

• Helping clients identify useful KPIs and use them to build a content strategy that will engage their audiences.

• Drawing up SEO strategies and content plans to increase page views referred by Google..

• Running training sessions on newsletter strategy, pitching ideas to the media and SEO for clients including The University of Liverpool, the Scottish Beacon, Open Culture and the Independent Community News Network.
